Meeting Suffering Mindfully Workshop

Saturday, March 10 and Sunday, March 11, 2012

presented by Gordon Wallace, Ph.D. and Lynn Wallace, M.Ed.

Who has escaped the pain and sorrow and loss of this human life? “NO ONE!” While most of us have tried to avoid or deny or numb ourselves from the challenges of living (whether it be illness to conflict with others to disappointment when not realizing our goals to the death of a loved one) difficulties will inevitably arise. So while we cannot hope to escape our own or others’ pain and loss, spiritual and psychological practices have demonstrated that it is better to MOVE THROUGH SUFFERING with CLARITY, CALM and COMPASSION.
We will consciously explore spiritual and psychological thought and practices to challenge and change our relationship to suffering in order to engender resiliency and self-care in the face of pain and sorrow.

Pre-registration is required. Fee is $250. For further information or to register phone 250.764.4866 or email drgcwallace@gmail.com.
